Raven67854 ugh. I took it out of the box and tried to install Ubuntu. It loaded up to the installer. The track pad didn't work. I looked that up and there appeared to be an easy fix for a known Acer laptop issue. I figured I'd wait till after the install to fix it because I've been around long enough to navigate without a mouse. 😄 Then it locked up.
Restart.... attempt #2. Nomodeset=0 so now it didn't lock up at all. But when I got to selecting the install partition, I only saw the flash drive as sda. I figured I forgot to turn off fastboot in Windows.
Restart, boot into windows after hearing cortanas dumb setup voice for too long. I disabled fastboot, restarted into windows, double check it's off, then turn off.
Turn back on...attempt #3. Same problem. No partitions found except for the flash drive sda.
