Just some opening topics since not much has been posted in this forum yet.
I personally am learning about OpenStack to better understand how to spin things up in a full environment, having migrated from ProxMox for the purpose of learning new environments- this is on the main HP server. On me Dell, I have unRAID with dockers for Plex and Nextcloud.
In the context of chat applications, what do any of you guys utilize? Also, does anyone here use anything like Sandstorm or Cozy?
I should really look into those, thanks.
I wanted to host wallabag at some point, but there wan't many articles I wanted save for later, so in the end I didn't.
Plex, Airsonic (which I'm looking at replacing, potentially).
Nextcloud is going to be my next project at home, along with maybe tackling selfhosted e-mail. I'd love to be able to ditch G-Mail.
My understanding is that there is a user base running their own cloud solution on a home PC server. How is the cost of electricity for these computers justified?
Axiom this depends on your needs, but most home servers can run on things like Raspberry Pi or other small computers which don't require much power.
Has anyone looked into hosting various game servers through LXC containers?
