So, I just read this Phoronix article about Purism. We need to look at this in a practical way. Sure, Purism, and especially Todd Weaver, has a lot to answer for. TBH I was mildly surprised by some of the things said about the internals of the company. However, I have accepted it. Despite that... we must look at the good that Purism has done and continues to do. They need to continue. I think that as the community we must hold them accountable for this in a responsible way so that they may continue to thrive. Therefore, we need to reign them back into line; but people must not get angry. They will though, and I only hope that it doesn't hurt us all when they do. When people who have bought the Librem 5 read this, they will not be too happy (including me). But if we let our anger get in the way then all of the progress thus far, however big or small, will be for naught. Librem 5 backers and the Linux community at large will lose if we cause Purism to lose. I personally think that this guy may have been too negative about the whole thing as well.
